1.
A New Fear 01:44
I’ve lost all hope A new fear rising on your horizons A dark sun for tired eyes A grey sky for weary minds Hellmouth winds whipping at your face A new fear rising
2.
Regulations 02:04
You’ve got a sense of dread in your life Some perpetual black cloud plaguing all of your skies Every second, every hour of every day It’s another pin-point pressure bearing down You can’t keep your focus, you can’t keep up with life’s pace There’s something about how this pavement moves beneath your feet There’s something about how thin this air feels in your lungs
3.
Misprint 01:35
You sold your story Lights, camera, blatant ignorance Smoke and mirrors, twist their words Pander every ounce of their pain away You sold your story, you got your ratings Your fucking marginal increase So cheers to the left and cheers to the right You sold your soul for a fucking lie, and we bought it We swallowed it all, word for word, line for line, note for note It’s a cold day in hell when the truth becomes anything more Than a misprint beneath your fucking lies
4.
In Residence 00:54
Desperately searching for connections with Something or someone other than yourself Relapse into comfort save face in your solitude Regrets, sorrows You’ve been clinging for years, ripped from your hands Relapse into unease, solemn and lonesome, Your life’s been ripped from your hands You’ve been clinging for years It’s been ripped from your hands
5.
Janus 01:43
Trembling hands, famished mouths Tearing eyes, broken bones And you’re still screaming for the unrealistic change That you know we’ve all been waiting for You scream Your discontent will spread faster than wildfire Your disillusion faster than the plague You’re heading for a body bag in record time Clawing at everything and everyone on the way You still scream like it makes a difference at the end of the day As if anyone’s listening Shattered hopes, aching hands White-washed skin, wasted life
6.
Some of us weren’t meant to be found Better left in solemn corners of a dark room Some of us weren’t meant to see the light Or bask in its warmth and its glory Some of us were better off without purpose Some of us were better off lost I’m caught up on no-sleep Tongue-tied, face up in the gutters of my mind These days are long (so bleak) These nights hazy (so secure)
7.
Hanover 02:44
Don’t tell me, I don’t want to know I don’t want to hear the blackened shit Boil and spill from your mouth I don’t want to know, I don’t want to see I don’t want to hear, I don’t understand, I won’t understand Eye for an eye, revenge for the avenged So where is your “just” fucking cause now? Cowards
8.
Son Rise 02:05
We’ve no shelter to cower from the storm Heavy winds bring the miasma of your holy wars You’ll line the streets red with their blood Stark, white, ashen skin Lie bound to the ghosts of your past Well hidden behind your black eyes Abhor, sacrifice what you fear and spread your seeds of hate Consume, deny, their hands will abide Condemn, destroy, their hands will abide And we’re gonna need another scapegoat Pushing agenda after agenda Savior deny, savior destroy Sinner deny, sinner destroy Consume, deny, son rise Condemn, destroy, son rise This is your precursor to a future with no tomorrow With no shelter to cower from the storm Son rise, welcome the soft sea and its unforgiving tides As it consumes, as it destroys
9.
Untitled 02:07
Rhetoric, contemptuous, kneel calmly, eyes of lust Lather jowls, bare your teeth, softly rise, begin the feast You prey slyly among the weak, your divinity only lies skin deep Forked tongues wrap around sullen hearts, the end begins before it starts Swollen words cloud the air, no leg to stand on, sinking still Filth of man, scorn of hell Every hour wounds, the last one kills Empty promises, broken vows, no leg to stand on, sinking still Filth of man, scorn of hell Every hour wounds, the last one kills Your ship’s set sail, your bridges burnt The night’s closing in, your light’s fading out
10.
Towers Fall 02:47
One day your tower will fall without ease, without grace You’re a fucking disease, spreading its ignorance and its hate You bigots, you liars Save your prayers, I don’t need them You thieves, you fucking hypocrites The only saving this world needs is from the likes of you
11.
Tremor 03:48
Three years, ten months, seventeen days A constant refrain, uniform static, white noise I’m shutting my eyes to the waking aversion of our past A bitter taste met with your stale, piercing eyes Skin and bone, hair and nails Limbs will wear, flesh will tear, and hope will cease An ode to dear gods of consequence: I could have just lied there, let my fingertips grace the soil Let myself sink into the soft earth I felt the rain pouring down across my face Eyes red with confusion, head hung from exhaustion My hands shook and knees buckled under your tremor weight An ode to dear gods of solace: Who laughs last, the dead or the dying? I’m one foot in the grave, with the second to follow For when I can’t face the mirror, for yawns in the span of years For when days are their heaviest, for when nights are their darkest I’ve all the answers to questions I’ve never asked An ode to dear gods of promise: This is a fresh breath from tired lungs A new beat from a weary heart
12.
Memoriam 08:00
You’ve tread earth that was never meant to see the likes of your kind From nothing you flourished, and to nothing you’ll return Heavy headed with a heart colder than stone Feel the weight of your remorse pull you down It drags your feet, it binds your limbs, it clouds your sight It fills your lungs, it breaks your will Your faith may run thinner than water But your blood’s as thick as fucking oil So don’t tell me the difference between right and wrong Because while you build monuments to liars and thieves We’re strung out on what you can call a life Year of the fear, lifetime of endless fright The tides are high, and sunrise is near So close your eyes, and let the water swell around your feeble frame Feel the emptiness course through your hollow veins You’ve let too many night slip aimlessly through your hands From nothing you flourished, and to nothing you’ll return Swallow your last breath of fucking air Let go

about

Behold was a group featuring Losing Skin members Alex Boston & Chris Peterson that existed from 2006 to 2009. Produced throughout those three years, Open Graves is the complete recorded collection of their efforts.

Blurring the lines between hardcore, metal, and punk, Behold delivered a visceral wall of deafening, overwhelming sound and unease. Although falling apart before seeing any major touring outside of the West Coast or label releases, Behold made a lasting impact on anyone who saw them perform live. Physically released for the first time since a 2011 tease, Open Graves features the band's entire recorded discography; including their final, unreleased demos of material written just before their demise.

Physical release is limited. CD is comprised of all 25 tracks, includes a hand-painted, screen printed, and numbered recycled chipboard case, accented by a 20-page full-color booklet featuring writing & lyrics and striking live photos by Rhea Beumer. Also included are two exclusive patches and three 1" buttons.

Digital release includes all 25 tracks, high resolution cover art, and PDF booklet.
